For a wet area we use durable stone that is sealed to resist moisture. Granite is very hard and low maintenance. Marble gives a classic spa look and is a longtime favorite for baths, with a little more care to keep it sealed. We recommend the right stone for your shower and how you use it.
Does marble hold up in a shower?
Marble has been used in showers and baths for a very long time and looks beautiful there. Because it is a natural, porous stone, it should be sealed and wiped down so it resists water spots and etching from some soaps and cleaners. If you love the marble look we will set it up to last, or steer you to a lower maintenance stone if you prefer.
